The Fidéen and 336th global player has qualified for the quarter-finals by beating the Israeli Saar Steele 6-3, 7-6 (3). He now faces Frenchman Pierre Metenier (7th head series), 419th in the world, the Future of Israel in Tel Aviv, Israel. At Challenger Britania Zavaleta presented in Puebla, Mexico, Valerie Tetreault of St-Jean-ISUP-Richelieu, defeated American Chloe Jones in two straight sets of 6-3 and 6-2. It will be measured by Julia Cohen, another American, in the second round on Thursday. Tetreault is currently the 418th largest in the world while his opponent is in 409th place in the class of the WTA.
